Docta Wasabi is a Los Angeles electronic music and visual project where sound is treated as architecture. A set is not a playlist. It is a structure you stand inside, with walls, light, pressure, and air. Across deep, tech, and progressive house and melodic bass, the work moves through three pillars: atmosphere sets the environment, movement drives the rhythm, release delivers the climax and the resolution.
Every release pairs original music with a cinematic visual world, so the experience arrives as one signal, heard and seen at once. The aesthetic is grounded in wabi-sabi: beauty in imperfection, presence over polish. The project lives in the space between premium nightlife and avant-garde sound design, where intimate underground sets and large-format moments share the same logic. Build the structure, send the signal, hold the room, and let it go.
The visual world
Docta Wasabi is built to be seen as much as heard. Each release is a contained aesthetic universe rather than an improvised look, generated and graded into a cinematic 4K world that matches the sound one to one. Close your eyes and you can still see the room. Watch with the sound low and you can still feel the build.
This is the one-signal principle: the music and the image are not two assets, they are a single transmission. The visual world reads the physical space into the work, treating the room, the lighting, and the audience energy as participants in the composition rather than a backdrop to it.
Booking ladder
Four tiers. Tiers 01 and 02 are DJ-only on venue sound. Tiers 03 and 04 include full production.
Private residences, rooftops, dinner parties, intimate gatherings. Curated set on venue sound.
Venue events, brand activations, weddings, milestone celebrations. Full-arc sonic architecture with energy-curve consultation.
Galleries, lofts, venue takeovers. DJ plus sound, lighting, and visuals, fully produced.
Festival stages, multi-zone spaces, full production management. Coordinated sound and lighting across rooms.
Travel outside greater Los Angeles is available at the higher tiers, costs covered by client. Tell us the room, the date, and the moment you want to build, and we will compose for it.
Production and technical rider
Tiers 01 and 02, DJ on venue sound
- Curated DJ set on the venue’s existing sound system.
- Client or venue provides a functional PA appropriate to the room, plus a stable table or booth surface and a grounded power outlet.
- Energy-curve consultation before the event so the set is mapped to the room and the moment.
Tiers 03 and 04, full production
- JBL PRX sound system, scaled to the room.
- Wash lighting for the performance zone.
- Projector-driven cinematic visuals matched to the set.
- Full setup and teardown handled by the Docta Wasabi team.
- Multi-room tiers add coordinated sound and lighting across zones with on-site production management.
